Loire Valley, France
Clay-schist-silty and granitic soil
Melon de Bourgogne 100%
Hand picked, followed by soft pressing and transferred to steel vats for fermentation, the wine is then transferred to barrels and stored over the winter on their lees, which imparts a subtle yeastiness and, occasionally, a slight spritz.
Wine is aged in the barrel with the yeast retained, rather than being clarified before aging. Aging on the lees increases the complexity and creaminess of the wine
Butterscotch and vanilla aromas with a slight oaky hint
Structured, with great roundness and a nutty, oaky undertone. Great complexity with a creamy, yeasty finish
Classic pairing for Muscadet are oysters, however white meats, poultry, heavy pasta dishes and medium aged cheeses are also well paired
