A fine bouquet of cherry, red fruit and raspberry, with oak and chocolate notes in the background.  A delicate, medium bodied wine with great personality.  Soft tannins with dusty, earthy and leather notes finishing off with a lingering red fruit taste on the palate

Volcanic soil

Grapes
Nerello Mascalese 80%, Nerello Capuccio and Nerello Mantellato 20%

Vinification

After harvesting grapes are transferred to stainless steel tanks where maceration takes place for 6 to 10 days. Must is then transferred to 500-L chestnut barrels for 12 months for refinement.  The wine is then transferred to the bottles and released after 18 months from harvest.

Maturation for 12 months in chestnut barrels

Bright ruby red with purple hints

Excellent accompaniment with tuna and red meats in general. It is also amazing with salamis

Ready to drink but can age for 5 years
