What to expect

Overwhelming bouquet of delicious black cherries, spices, tobacco, smoke, caramel and liquorice.  Impressive and powerful with concentrated dark fruit, chocolate, caramel and tobacco flavours.  Fine integrated tannins with a beautiful plummy and jammy finish

Clay, calcareous soils rich in skeletons

Grapes
Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 100%

Vinification
Grapes are harvested during first 10 days of November, after which they are crushed and soaked for a period
of about 25/30 days in steel tanks where red vinification with a skin contact for at least 25 days. Fermentation occurs with selected yeasts and malolactic fermentation is spontaneous.

Aging
12 months in steel tanks, 24/36 months in new barrels and then 18 months in the bottle.

Intense dark ruby colour

Food pairing:

Recommended with rich and complex dishes that are slow cooked (red meat, game, seasoned cheeses) or with chocolate

Alcohol: 15.6% Vol.

Serving Temperature:

18 °C. It would be ideal to open bottle about 4 hours before consumption

Aging Potential:

15 – 20 years.
