Merlot 83%, Cabernet Franc 17%
Vinification
The grapes are handpicked into small trays before transfer to the winery. On arrival at the winery the grapes are sorted – firstly by bunch and then, after destemming, grape by grape. Only conveyors are used to transport the grapes and the wine is fermented in wooden vats after extreme cold maceration. The wines undergo malolactic fermentation in new French oak, and are barrel-aged in an air-conditioned cellar at 18 °C.

Colour:
Deep ruby red with purple hues
Bouquet:
This cuvée is distinctive, the aromatic profile setting it apart from the other wines from the plateau, with smoky mineral elements to the fore, backed up in this vintage by some lightly dried fruits, charming and delicately floral, with some curranty edges.
Taste:
The palate is very pure, lifted, with great energy, perfumed dark fruits swirled with rose petals and peony scents, all wrapped around a core of damson and black cherry, as well as tobacco and cocoa bean notes from the oak. Long, focused, balanced and precise, this wine exhibits a fantastic mineral quality which is in keeping with the belt of the terroir

Excellent accompaniment with pasta with red meaty sauces, red meat, stews and aged cheeses
