Terroir

Gravel, sandy rock with proportions of clay and sandstone soils

Grapes
Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot

Vinification 

Hand harvested grapes and destemming followed by traditional vinification of the wine staying in 25% new oak for 12 months.  Fermentation is carried out in barrels with batonnage de lie and stays in oak for  a further 10 months.

Aging

In oak barrels for 10 months after vinification of 12 months

Intense ruby red

Aromas of cherry and tobacco, plums and earthy notes

Taste:

Beef, veal, game, stews and mature, aged cheeses.
